+ Is Berman Psychotherapy the same as The Berman Center?


No. Berman Psychotherapy is a completely different therapeutic setting. Berman Psychotherapy is for individuals, couples, or families who need outpatient individual therapy. The frequency of the sessions will be determined with your therapist.

 

+ What is the difference in levels of care between Berman Psychotherapy and The Berman Center?


Berman Psychotherapy is an outpatient-only practice. As a client of Berman Psychotherapy, you and your therapist will determine how often you will meet. The Berman Center is an Intensive Outpatient Program that consists of a set number of groups and therapy.

 

+ Does Berman Psychotherapy accept all major insurance providers?


No, Berman Psychotherapy does not accept insurance. We are an out-of-network provider. We provide superbills (therapeutic receipts) to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Our fees for services range from $175 - $350 depending on the therapist.

 

+ What does Berman Psychotherapy specialize in?


Berman Psychotherapy specializes in eating disorders, anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorders, depression, relationship issues, trauma, addiciton, grief, and loss.

 

+ How do I schedule my first appointment?

+ What do I need to bring to my first appointment?


Please print out and bring in all paperwork, as it applies to you, found on the Forms page.

 

+ Do I need to accompany my child to his/her appointment?


If your child is a minor, you must be present for the initial appointment. After the initial appointment, please be available by phone or in-person, if the therapist needs to be in touch with you.
